Alaska registers 2nd win with 109-95 rout of Blackwater

The Alaska Aces rolled past the Blackwater Elite, 109-95, to share the early lead in the Oppo PBA Commissioner’s Cup team standings on Wednesday at SMART-Araneta Coliseum.

The win propelled Alaska (2-0) to a triple-tie with Rain or Shine and Meralco, also unbeaten in two games, for the No.1 spot in the ladder.

Import Cory Jefferson finished with 28 points and 15 boards to pace the Aces. Carl Bryan Cruz added 15 points, Ping Exciminiano made 13 markers, Kevin Racal chipped in 12 and Sonny Thoss contributed 10.

Calvin Abueva also scored seven of his nine points in the first period to spark a hot start by Alaska. –
