Refreshed and recharged from a much-needed six-day break, the two Finals protagonists resume their battle for the 2018 Philippine Cup title as the league returns to action on Easter Sunday for Game 3 of the best-of-seven series at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Game time is scheduled at 6:30pm.
Magnolia and defending champion San Miguel are set to break a 1-1 deadlock in a series that gets hotter and more physical with each passing game.
“Dahil sa determinasyon manalo, parehong ready na makipag-away,” said San Miguel coach Leo Austria after Game 2.
Hotshots coach Chito Victolero, on the other hand, is still upbeat even after losing Game 2 as the Beermen only managed to equalize the series.
“Pagod na pagod na ang team from our almost daily grind from the quarterfinals. Buti naka isa kami at nakapahinga, malaking bagay sa amin yon,” said the former KIA mentor.
Both teams were busy during the Holy Week break.
The Hotshots took a two-day break on Monday and Tuesday are resumed work on Wednesday straight up to Saturday.
The Beermen likewise enjoyed a brief two-day vacation on Monday and Good Friday.
