Blackwater rookie Mac Belo continued to impress while veteran guard Denok Miranda came up big in the clutch as they powered the Elite past the Meralco Bolts, 86-84, to remain unbeaten in the Oppo PBA Philippine Cup on Sunday at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.
Belo, who scored 17 points in his PBA debut, topped that in his second game as he exploded for 25 points on 9-for-15 shooting and had a game-saving block in the final minute.
Miranda, meanwhile, made sure the effort would not go to waste as he drove hard for a difficult basket that broke an 84-84 deadlock with just four seconds left on the game clock. He finished with 11 points and a team-high seven assists in the win.
