Another strong finish, another familiar result for Barangay Ginebra on Sunday night.
Unforgiving on both ends after the turn, the Gin Kings pulled away from the TNT KaTropa in scintillating fashion on the way to a solid 107-89 victory to keep themselves within striking distance of the 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup pace-setters at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Down by six at the half, Ginebra got its full groove in the third canto behind a suffocating defense, limiting TNT to just 13 markers, then displayed its full offensive repertoire in the final frame en route to its fourth straight win and a 4-1 mark overall.
After scoring 61 points in the first half, the KaTropa practically couldn’t get anything going at the pivotal half, leaving them with no recourse but to see a five-game winning run come to a halt and dropping to a 5-2 card. – FOX Sports Asia
