Brgy. Ginebra pummels GlobalPort for 5th straight win, top 6 finish

Brgy. Ginebra continued on with its winning ways, this time with a 116-98 demolition job of the GlobalPort Batang Pier Friday night at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.

The Gin Kings picked up its fifth straight victory to improve to 6-5 and in the process assure itself of a top 6 finish going into the playoffs of the mid-season conference.

Prolific import Justin Brownlee led the charge for Brgy. Ginebra with a dazzling all-around performance of 36 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals.

The two-time champion reinforcement came up with an array of highlight plays much to the delight of the predominantly Ginebra crowd.

Scottie Thompson narrowly missed a triple-double with 10 points, 11 assists and 9 rebounds.

Japeth Aguilar and Joe Devance contributed 19 and 16 points respectively while LA Tenorio added 11 points and 9 assists.

Malcolm White led GlobalPort with 19 points while Mo Tautuaa added 15.

Stanley Pringle, who is coming off a 50-point performance against Columbian, was held to 14 points by the tight Ginebra defense.
