Looks like American import Ricardo Ratliffe’s return to the pro league will have to wait a little longer.
The 6-foot-8 Ratliffe remains committed to his current club in South Korea and won’t be available anytime soon for the PBA Commissioner’s Cup that gets going on March 17, leaving the Star Hotshots with no recourse but to look for other options.
The former Missouri Tiger is tops on the Hotshots’ wishlist for the mid-season conference, but Ratliffe is still tied up with the Seoul Samsung Thunders who are in strong contention for the Korean Basketball League title with a current win-loss record of 28-14.
““(Team manager) Alvin (Patrimonio) (is) still working on it with the coaching staff,” Star team governor Rene Pardo told FOX Sports in an SMS message on Thursday afternoon.
So far, 6-foot-8 power forward Tony Mitchell, a former second round pick of the Detroit Pistons in the 2013 NBA rookie draft, is being linked to the Hotshots. – FOX Sports Asia
