In their first two games, San Miguel import Charles Rhodes has already flaunted his athletic ability in leading the Beermen to an undefeated start.
However, as it turned out, he was just warming up.
Rhodes showed a glimpse of what’s to come once he gained his full strength in front of an Easter Sunday crowd, overcoming a foul trouble night to lead the Beermen to a 103-97 win over Star for their third straight win.
The high-leaping American ran like a speeding bullet midway in the fourth quarter, then received a feed from Chris Ross to posterize Hotshot rookie Chris Javier with a two-handed slam that rocked the Big Dome, highlighting his 29-point, 10-rebound performance.
But a fair warning for those who will try to stop him, Rhodes has no plan of showing mercy.
“I’m not even a hundred percent yet, I’m just at 80. Once I get to a hundred percent, we’re gonna do a lot of that,” he added. – FOX Sports Asia
