Chito Narvasa plans to ban Jammer Jamito from future All-Star events after side-step stunt

The PBA Commissioner apparently wasn’t amused with Brgy. Ginebra’s Jammer Jamito’s dunk attempt during the Slam Dunk Competition of the 2017 PBA All-Star Week.

‘Hindi na makakaulit sa akin ‘yan’, was the reaction of a disappointed Chito Narvasa as quoted by Nelson Beltran in his column in the tabloid Pang-Masa.

The Brgy. Ginebra rookie made it appear that he would jump over Japeth Aguilar only to side-step his way past his 6’9″ teammate and finish with a simple one-handed dunk.

Jamito got a score of 37 from the judges and while it was Meralco sophomore Chris Newsome who captured the Slam Dunk title, the seldom-used Brgy. Ginebra forward made more noise and his hilarious attempt went viral in social media. So much so that it was even featured on the NBA Program ‘The Starters’.

Narvasa however felt that Jamito wasted his opportunity to prove that he belongs in the league and has pledged to bar him from future All-Star side events. – Mae Villarin
