Chris Ross named 2017 Philippine Cup Finals MVP

San Miguel point guard Chris Ross was named the Oppo PBA Philippine Cup Finals MVP for a second consecutive season after a phenomenal performance in his team’s five-game series against the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings.

Ross averaged 17.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 9.2 assists in the series, including a game-high 24 points in Game 3 and point-assist double-doubles in Games Two and Five.

He had a terrific showing in the series clincher, where he posted 12 points, eight rebounds, 10 assists and six steals.

San Miguel has won three consecutive championships in the All-Filipino Conference and Ross has been the Finals MVP for the last two. –
