Star seeks to keep its position on top while Alaska Milk makes its last hurrah for an outright playoff entry as they slug it out in the penultimate play date of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup eliminations at the Cuneta Astrodome Wednesday.
It’s a must-win game for both to stay on course in their respective aspirations.
Game time is at 7 p.m. with the Hotshots going for a 9-2 closing mark in the elims while the Aces look to settle for a 5-6 card after dropping all their last six games.
“We expected a grind-out game versus Alaska because both teams need to win for positioning in the quarterfinals,” said Star coach Chito Victolero.
“Proper mindset and focus are very important for this game. Going into the playoffs, we want to be more consistent on doing the right things, and this game will help us a lot in our preparation for the next level,” Victolero also said.
