Gilas Cadets barge into win column with 72-63 victory over Perpetual Help

The Gilas Cadets finally barged into the win column of the 12th Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup with a 72-63 win over Perpetual Help, Wednesday night at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

After opening the tournament with successive defeats to powerhouse teams Ateneo, La Salle and San Beda, the Cadets showed signs of improvement as a team especially in the final period when they broke the game wide open.

Kenneth Tuffin led the team with 17 points spiked by five triples, three of which came in the decisive fourth quarter run of the national team.

Juan Gomez de Liaño finished with 9 points, 9 assists and 6 rebounds.

Isaac Go debuted for the Cadets with a decent 9 points and made his mark on the defensive end as he made life miserable for Altas import Prince Eze who managed to score only 10 markers.
