For Donte Greene, what made TNT’s 112-103 victory over San Miguel on Friday more special was him shutting up the brash Charles Rhodes.
With Rhodes on his ears all game long, Greene shared that it really motivated him to deliver for the KaTropa as he unloaded 41 points, 21 rebounds, four assists, and two blocks in the tiff.
Contrary to Rhodes’ claim that he was scared to guard him, the former Sacramento King said that he was just wiser in the duel knowing the situation they’re in.
“I wasn’t scared to guard him. He plays for San Miguel, so you know, he has the refs in his back pocket. There’s no point of trying to go man up with him,” he said. “I guarded him when I needed to guard him. And I blocked his shot so he can have that. Hopefully, we’ll see him in the playoffs.” – INQUIRER.net
