After confirming the status of former Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel import Vernon Macklin as the reinforcement of the Magnolia Hotshots for the upcoming Commissioner’s Cup, import agent Sheryl Reyes confirmed another development on her Twitter account.

Justin Brownlee will be back to reinforce Brgy. Ginebra for both the 2nd and 3rd conferences of the PBA’s 43rd season.

The 29-year old American likewise served as the Gin Kings import for the 2017 Commissioner’s Cup and despite giving up several inches in the height department was able to lead the team to the top spot at the end of the eliminations. The league’s most popular team breezed through GlobalPort in the quarterfinals but was unceremoniously booted out in the semis by TNT KaTropa reinforced by man-mountain Joshua Smith. TNT won the series 3-1 and advanced to the Finals opposite the San Miguel Beermen.

Brownlee returned in the 2017 Governors’ Cup and led the team to a successful title defense against the very same team they defeated for the franchise’s first championship in 8 years, the Meralco Bolts.

The 6-foot-5 native of Tifton, Georgia USA is currenly serving as Alab Pilipinas’ world import in the Asean Basketball League before suiting up for the 4th and 5th time for Brgy. Ginebra in the team’s quest for an 11th PBA crown.

Below are the rest of Reyes’ tweets.
