After 4 games with Charles Garcia, Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel has decided to bring back resident import Justin Brownlee in time for its game against the Meralco Bolts on Friday, June 1 at the MOA Arena.

The 29-year old Garcia averaged 17.75 points and 10.25 rebounds and could only lead the team to 1 victory and it came against a lowly Blackwater team which is still winless in 6 games.

Import agent Sheryl Reyes first broke the news on her Twitter account.

“Mga kabarangay, it’s official! Justin Brownlee is back”, wrote Reyes.

Head coach Time Cone confirmed the team’s decision to bring back the prolific reinforcement.

“We have decided to replace Chuck Garcia with Justin. He will join us in practice immediately and suit up for our June 1 game against Meralco,” said the league’s winning-est mentor.

“I’m sorry to see Chuck Garcia go. He was a great guy and very coachable. We wish him the best in his next assignment,” he added.

Brownlee is coming off a successful stint in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) where he, along with San Miguel Beermen import Renaldo Balkman, led Alab Pilipinas to its first championship in the regional league.

The 30-year old native of Georgia, USA will makes his 4th appearance with the team which is seeking its first Commissioner’s Cup trophy since 1997.
