Mahindra breaks into the win column, keeps NLEX winless with 89-81 victory

PBA Media Bureau

The Mahindra Floodbuster dispatched the listless NLEX Road Warriors, 89-81, to barge into the winning column in the Oppo PBA Commissioner’s Cup Friday at SMART-Araneta Coliseum.

Import James White dominated for the Floodbuster, collecting 30 points and 23 boards to deliver Mahindra’s first win in the battle of teams that lost their first two games of the conference.

He made 20 points in the first half where Mahindra (1-2) did the damage.

No other Mahindra player reached double digits in scoring but the local crew’s balanced production was more than enough. LA Revilla, Reden Celda, Gary David and Ryan Arana each chipped in nine points apiece for the squad. –

The scores:

MAHINDRA 89 – White 30, Revilla 9, Celda 9, David 9, Arana 9, Mallari 7, Yee 5, Paniamogan 3, Galanza 3, Deutchman 2, Apinan 2, Salva 1, Ballesteros 0.
