Winless in the first 8 games of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup, NLEX hopes to swing its fortune, beginning with its latest transaction with Mahindra that saw the Road Warriors send forwards Glenn Khobuntin and Eric Camson in exchange for Floodbuster guard Alex Mallari, reserve Kenneth Ighalo and a 2020 second round draft pick.
The deal has been approved by league commissioner Chito Narvasa on Friday.
In recent games before the PBA All-Star Week, Mahindra assistant coach Gavina openly criticized the 6-foot-4 Mallari publicly for his bad body language on the court.
Mallari currently averages 12.00 points, 5.29 rebounds and 3.43 assists this conference. – FOX Sports Asia
