Struggling to find its rhythm in the 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup, Mahindra is eager to turn its fortunes around. And that process could start by changing its import.
The Floodbuster are set to bring in former Harvard University standout Keith Wright as a replacement to ‘balik-import’ James White ahead of another tough showdown against the streaking Star Hotshots on Wednesday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
No less than Mahindra’s acting coach Chris Gavina confirmed the development to FOX Sports, saying he will even personally pick up the 6-foot-8 Wright, who is coming off a solid stint with the Westchester Knicks in the NBA D-League, upon his arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
“Our last loss against Alaska, it just came down to getting an import who can help us win. It had nothing to do with James’ numbers or anything. We just have a different team compared to the first conference that he was here,” said Gavina. – FOX Sports Asia
