Mahindra to draw inspiration from ‘playing-coach’ Manny Pacquiao’s win going into KO game with Star

After Mahindra playing coach Manny Pacquiao’s unanimous decision win over American Tim Bradley, Enforcers lead assistant Chito Victolero said they will have to take the cue from there as they fight for a playoff spot on Wednesday against the Star Hotshots.

“Masaya sa practice kanina,” Victolero told FOX Sports after the team finished its practice on Monday.

“Siyempre napag-usapan namin yung mga magagandang rounds ni boss Manny and kahit galing kami sa talo, maganda ang atmosphere sa practice and positive kami going to the game sa Star,” he added.

Mahindra has lost 4 of its last 5 games since a 3-1 start in the Oppo-PBA Commissioner’s Cup, but the assistant coach said Pacquiao’s domination of Bradley is a morale booster for them.

“Yung panalo ni coach Manny, malaki yan para sa team dahil nakita namin yung paglaban niya,” said Victolero, whose team clashes with Star on Wednesday in a virtual knockout game.

Mahindra and Star currently are in joint 8th spot with identical 4-6 records. – FOX Sports PH
