Maverick Ahanmisi retained his Obstacle Challenge crown Friday in the 2017 PBA All-Star Week at Quezon Convention Center here.

The Rain or Shine sophomore easily bested his foes with a flawless final run, setting the standard with 25.8 seconds. No one else was able to close.

San Miguel’s Alex Cabagnot placed second with 26.7 seconds, followed by NLEX’s Emman Monfort at third with 27.1 seconds.

Allein Maliksi drilled the biggest money ball of the competition in dramatic fashion to rule the Three-Point Shootout Friday in the 2017 PBA All-Star at Quezon Convention Center here.

The Star forward made his shots when it mattered, draining three of his five colored balls in the money ball rack and went 4-of-5 in the right corner including the title-clinching basket to put him on top with 20 points.

LA Tenorio set a tough standard as he got four balls in the moneyball rack to finish with 18 points.

Last year’s slim defeat may have been painful, but that only made Chris Newsome’s conquest of the Slam Dunk Contest in the 2017 PBA All-Star Week much more sweeter.

The Meralco sophomore finally achieved what eluded him last season as he edged James Forrester in the Slam Dunk Finals to emerge as the champion.

Defending champion Rey Guevarra was denied of his fourth straight crown as he could only muster 87 in the first round. –
