Meralco spoils TNT debut, goes 3-0 with 94-89 win

The Meralco Bolts spoiled the much-anticipated PBA debut of NBA veteran Lou Amundson as they stretched their perfect start to three games with a 94-89 victory over TNT Katropa in the Oppo Commissioner’s Cup Friday night at SMART-Araneta Coliseum.

Amundson, who played 10 years in the NBA and is on his first overseas stint, scored 19 points and 18 rebounds while battling foul trouble.

He was outmatched by his Meralco counterpart Alex Stepheson who piled up 20 points and 27 rebounds to steer Meralco to a league-best 3-0 record.
