The last piece of the puzzle for the 2nd conference of the fast-growing Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) is now in place.
League officials held a contract signing Monday night with representatives of the Bacoor City Strikers, team number 26 and the last seat on the list of participating teams for the upcoming season which is scheduled to kick-off on June 12 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Commissioner Kenneth Duremedes together with assistant comm. Satar Makantal and operations head Zaldy Realubit formally welcomed into the league the Bacoor City team headed by owners Jonas Castro and Federico Hu.
Bacoor, the second representative from the province of Cavite after Imus Bandera, brings to 16 the total number of expansions teams and the 11th from Luzon after Makati, Manila, San Juan, Rizal, Laguna, Mandaluyong, Pampanga, Pasig, Pasay and Marikina.
