MPBL to raffle off 26 motorcycles, 1 brand new car on opening day

The second conference of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) is set to kick off on June 12 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and the league is giving away 26 motorcycles and a brand new car to lucky ticket holders.

The MPBL will now have 26 competing teams after 16 more joined the 10 pioneers during the break between conferences. The teams have been divided into 2 groups, the North and South.

8. Mandaluyong El Tigre

12. San Juan Knights
13. Pasay Voyagers

1. Laguna Heroes
2. Muntinlupa Cagers
3. Imus Bandera
4. Batangas City Athletics
5. Paranaque Patriots
6. Rizal Ankle Breakers
7. Marikina Shoe Masters
8. Cebu Sharks
9. Bacoor Strikers
10. Davao Occidental Tigers
11. Zamboanga Valientes
12. Basilan Steel
13. General Santos Warriors

The teams will a play single round robin with each team playing 25 games in the elimination round. The top eight teams from each group will advance to the playoffs.

The No. 1 seed will take on the No. 8, the No. 2 will meet the No. 7, the No. 3 will face the No. 6 while the No. 4 will tangle with the No. 5 seed, all in a best-of-three series.

Conference Semifinals and Finals will be a best-of-three affair as well while the National Championship, battle of the North and South champion, will be a best-of-five series.

Games will be shown live of ABS-CBN’s Sports and Action channel every Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 7:00pm to 11:00pm.
