‘Nagawa nila so kaya rin naman namin yun’, says LA Tenorio on coming back from a 1-3 series deficit

Barangay Ginebra is down on its knee, but Gin Kings veteran guard LA Tenorio knows they’re not out of the woods just yet.

The 5-foot-8 Tenorio is hoping Ginebra can take a page out of defending two-time champion San Miguel Beer as the Gin Kings try to get back on their feet and—possibly—extend their title hopes against the dominant Beermen in the 2017 PBA Philippine Cup Finals series.

“Well, nagawa nila, so kaya rin naman namin ‘yun,” said the former Ateneo star, trying to stay positive following the Gin Kings’ 85-94 loss on Friday night to trail the title series, 1-3.

Tenorio is drawing his positive vibes from SMB’s history-defying championship run back in the 2016 Philippine Cup Finals when the Beermen overhauled a 0-3 deficit to defeat the Alaska Aces in seven games, becoming the first team to achieve such feat in league history. – FOX Sports Asia
