He just arrived in the Philippines few days ago, but this early, new TNT import Donte Greene has already expressed his willingness to be naturalized for Gilas Pilipinas’ cause.
The former NBA veteran, listed at 6-foot-11, attended the second Monday-only session of the national team at the Meralco Gym in Pasig as an invited ‘guest’ player as he’s still acclimatizing himself in the country’s condition.
“Coach (Josh Reyes) asked me if I want to workout with the team, just trying to shake off my legs after a long flight,” shared Greene, who joined the 1-hour training alongside 19 other Gilas pool members.
The 29-year old, though, considers joining the team in the long run as he declared himself committed to reinforce the national team as a naturalized player.
“It’s good to come out and have them see me, then maybe, possibly, down the road play with the team (Gilas),” he said. – FOX Sports Asia
