Three team representatives from the 7-member bloc who are not in favor of renewing the contract of Chito Narvasa as the league’s commissioner have decided to forego the 5-day US annual planning session.

Pato Gregorio of TNT, Raymond Zorilla of Phoenix and Mamerto Mondragon of Rain or Shine did not board the Philippine Airlines flight PR 102 bound for Los Angeles, California Friday night along with the other board members.

Aside from the three, Meralco and NLEX of the MVP Group together with Alaska are also against the extension of Narvasa’s term.

Ramoncito Fernandex of NLEX, the league’s incoming chairman for Season 43, is also doubtful of joining the meeting which is scheduled for November 14 but is expected to make it to the Las Vegas pleasure trip on November 16.

Alaska’s Dickie Bachmann, Brgy. Ginebra’s Alfrancis Chua and GlobalPort’s Eric Arejola already left for the US ahead of the group.

With the absence of the 3 and possibly 4 team governors, the annual planning session is in danger of not being held at all. That along with the refusal of Chito Naravasa to step down voluntarily would mean a prolonged stand-off to the current leadership crisis.
