Star rookie Jio Jalalon knows exactly what touted import Tony Mitchell is capable of doing—at least in practice.
But the promising Hotshots guard still finds himself in awe whenever the NBA veteran is coming through with highlights reels—be it an emphatic dunk or a block.
Such was the case on Wednesday night when the 5-foot-9 Jalalon fed the high-flying Mitchell for a picture perfect windmill dunk that highlighted Star’s wire-to-wire 97-83 victory over Mahindra.
After wingman Rome dela Rosa swiped an outlet pass by Floodbuster guard Philip Paniamogan, Jalalon completed the steal and pushed it hard then issued a timely pass to a streaking Mitchell, who soared high over Mahindra guard Nico Elorde for that rim-rattling jam.
“Nasa free throw pa lang ako, tinatawag na niya ako. Nakita ko siya kaya binigay ko. Nagulat rin ako sa ginawa niya. Grabe ‘yun! Pang-NBA talaga siya,” admitted the proud Cagayan de Oro City native. – FOX Sports Asia
