PBA releases revised 2016 Governors’ Cup Playoffs schedule



Just days after releasing the schedule for the 2016 Governors’ Cup playoffs, the PBA, thru its social media accounts, released a revised version with a main emphasis of moving the Brgy. Ginebra game from Thursday to Friday.

The league similarly revised a previously released schedule moving a Brgy. Ginebra game from first to second game.

Under the revised schedule, the battle for the No. 4 (Meralco vs Mahindra) and No. 8 (Rain or Shine vs Phoenix) spots will be held on Wednesday, September 21 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The series between San Miguel (#2) and NLEX (#7), and Brgy. Ginebra (#3) and Alaska (#6) kicks off on Friday, September 23, also at the Smart Araneta Colisuem.

The other QF pairings – TNT (#1) vs the winner between Phoenix and Rain or Shine (#8) and Meralco and Mahindra will start their series on Saturday, Septmeber 24 at Ynares Antipolo.

If needed, game 2 of the San Miguel vs NLEX and Brgy. Ginebra vs Alaska will be on Sunday, Septmber 25 also at Ynares Antipolo. – Mae Villarin
