Renaldo Balkman issues message for Arwind Santos: “I’m looking for you man, let’s just talk.”

Renaldo Balkman, the former San Miguel Beermen (then Petron Blaze Boosters) import who was meted a lifetime ban by then PBA Commissioner Chito Salud on top of a P250K fine for choking teammate Arwind Santos, is back in the country playing as an import for Tanduay Alab Pilipinas in the Asean Basketball League.

While the possibility of a PBA return is still remote, the 33-year old Balkman is hoping to get in touch with Santos and have that closure, five years after the unfortunate incident.

In previous interviews, Santos stated that he has already moved on and even wishes that the PBA lifts the ban on Balkman to give the Puerto Rican native a chance to redeem himself.

Balkman had this to say upon learning of Santos’ statement, “I heard about (what he said). People told me and I just want to thank him. Soon to come, I’ll meet him. I’ll meet him over lunch, dinner, or whatever.”

The enigmatic import also expressed his willingness to play with Santos again and complete his unfinished business with the team.

“That would be great, not only for him but for me, too. To team up with him again and to go and have another run at it,” Balkman said.

But for now, the Alab Pilipinas import wants nothing more than to reconnect with his former teammate and finally bury the hatchet. And he has this message for him, “I’m looking for you, man. If you get this message, I’m down here. Maybe one day, we can go out and have lunch, dinner, or whatever you want to do. Let’s just talk.”
