Don’t look now but after participating in the Legends Three-point Shootout during the PBA’s All-Star Week, Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Bong Go will now be embarking on a basketball career via the Muntinlupa Cagers of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).

The 43-year old government official is included in the 20-man line-up of the Cagers and will see action during the team’s game on opening day against expansion team Mandaluyong El Tigre.

Aside from Go, the Cagers will parade holdovers led by Allan Mangahas, Chito Jaime, Pari Llagas, Dave Moralde, Dhon Reverente and Felix Apreku.

The MPBL opens its 2nd conference on June 12.

Parade of teams will start by 7:00pm followed by the opening match pitting the Gen San Warriors against the Marikina Shoemasters. The Cagers then take on El Tigre in the main event.

ABL back-to-back local MVP Ray Parks will banner Mandaluyong with former Alab coach Mac Cuan calling the shots. Joining Parks are fellow Alab standout JR Alabanza, former PBA player Josan Nimes, Valenzuela Classic transferees Mark Andaya and Jeff Javillonar, Gilas cadet Prince Rivero and TV and Movie personality Xian Lim.

Popular actor Gerald Anderson will suit up for the Shoemasters.
