Star sent the athletic but foul-prone import Mitchell home packing a day after his rim-rattling slam against Rain or Shine at Batangas as the Hotshots are set to parade familiar face Ricardo Ratliffe in the last stretch of the eliminations.
No less than Star board governor Rene Pardo confirmed the development to FOX Sports on Sunday afternoon.
“Yes, Ricardo Ratliffe will take over starting today (Sunday),” Pardo said in a text message.
As it turned out, Star just waited for Ratliffe to finish his commitment with the Seoul Samsung Thunders in the Korean Basketball League.
“He was really our first choice but was not available then,” said Pardo. – FOX Sports Asia
