Former Detroit Pistons forward Tony Mitchell is set to reinforce the Star Hotshots when the 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup kicks off on March 17.
Listed at 6-9, the 24-year-old Mitchell is known for his above-the-rim plays, who can provide instant perimeter offense and solid defensive presence for a Star side, that reached the semifinals during the first conference of Chito Victolero as head coach.
“Fina-finalize na lang ni (team manager) Alvin (Patrimonio) yung kontrata, pero na-approve na namin so siguro mga between March 3 or 4 ang dating niya dito,” Star board governor Rene Pardo told FOX Sports on Tuesday.
