Terrence Romeo is on top of the list as the PBA releases its latest round of fines for the ongoing 2017 Governors’ Cup.
The 25-year old ace gunner of the GlobalPort Batang Pier was fined P20,000 for throwing the ball at Blackwater import Henry Walker during the 2nd Quarter of their game last Sunday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
Without Romeo, who was subsequently ejected from the game after the incident, the Batang Pier succumbed to the surging Elite 118-107.
TNT coach Nash Racela is P17,000 poorer after being fined the said amount for issuing statements detrimental to the league after their win over Star last Sunday. The feisty rookie coach was also penalized for disrespectful gestures towards the referees and for incurring a technical foul for entering the court.
GlobalPort forward Sean Anthony was fined P15,000 for wearing a wrong set of playing shorts during the third quarter of their game against Star last September 15, 2017.
Alaska’s Calvin Abueva was fined P3,400 for incurring a technical foul for using profane language.
Alaska head coach Alex Compton was fined P2,000 for incurring a technical foul for continuously complaining against the referee’s call.
San Miguel’s Arwind Santos was fined P2,600 for incurring a technical foul for second motion against KIA import Geron Johnson.
Star head coach Chito Victolero was fined P1,000 for entering the playing court. – Mae Villarin
