Where import Justin Brownlee goes, Barangay Ginebra follows.

And on Wednesday night, it was veteran guard LA Tenorio who primarily took the cue from Brownlee as he provided the needed spark in the third canto, enabling the Gin Kings to pull away from the NLEX Road Warriors and continue their winning drive in the 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup behind a 101-92 victory at the Cuneta Astrodome.

Ginebra coach Tim Cone certainly took notice of the former Ateneo standout’s exploits.

“I like how LA came out with a lot of fire in the second half and got things done,” he said during the post-game interview, visibly pleased with how the Ginebra playmaker did his damage on both ends.

Tenorio also came through with two of the Gin Kings’ eight steals in the third, leading to easy lay-ups and transition buckets which accounted for 18 unanswered points—and practically took the fight out of the sloppy Road Warriors. – FOX Sports Asia
