In the semifinals last conference, the TNT KaTropa showed they could go toe-to-toe with the San Miguel Beermen.

And in their first encounter since that series, they proved to be the better team, notching a 112-103 win to deal SMB its first loss of the 2017 Oppo PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Friday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Donte Greene paved the way for TNT with 41 points on 16-of-29 shots. He also grabbed 21 rebounds and dished out four assists.

“I was happy with the way we came out and played solid defense. We were missing players but we had people who stepped up tonight,” said Greene, whose team limited the Beermen to just 42% from the field.

Kelly Williams added 15 markers and Larry Fonacier, who came up big for TNT in the last period, scored 14 points, including four triples. – Sports5
