TNT rallies from 29 points down, escapes with 126-121 overtime win over NLEX

TNT KaTropa pulled off a comeback for the ages, rallying from a 29-point deficit in the second half to hack out a 126-121 overtime win over the NLEX Road Warriors, 126-121, in the Oppo PBA Commissioner’s Cup Friday at Mall of Asia Arena.

KaTropa talisman Jayson Castro fired 32 points and 11 assists while Donte Greene added 26 points and 16 boards for TNT (3-1) which completed its biggest comeback in franchise history.

It was also the first time in 11 years that a team managed to win a game despite trailing by 29 points.

Ranidel De Ocampo also made 22 points, including a triple that forced overtime, as rookie RR Pogoy chipped in 20 markers to help KaTropa land another painful blow to NLEX (0-5) which remained winless in five games. – InterAksyon.com
