In a deal that caught everybody by surprise, the two dominant forces in the PBA shook hands on a trade that nobody expected to happen.
The flagship teams of the MVP and SMC groups got a roster upgrade just right before the 2017 PBA All-Star Week.
TNT sent Matthew Ganuelas-Rosser to SMB for RR Garcia in a one on one deal. Incidentally, both players are coming off injuries.
Garcia, whom the Beermen just recently acquired from the Star Hotshots in a three-team deal which also involved the Mahindra Floodbuster, is on his way to his 4th team in the PBA while Ganuelas-Rosser will suit up for a different team for only the first time since barging into the league in 2014.
The PBA already approved the trade Monday afternoon. – Mae Villarin
