The PBA Visayas All Stars shrugged off the last-minute pullout of Kiefer Ravena, hardly lacking firepower and showmanship in a 157-141 humbling of the Smart Team Phl in the closing game of the 2018 PBA All Stars at the University San Agustin Gymnasium here Sunday night.
Jeff Chan, Terrence Romeo and Jericho Cruz all came through with big performances while James Yap, Ronald Tubid, June Mar Fajardo and Greg Slaughter provided solid backup jobs in a proud game before fellow Visayans here.
Chan frolicked with 29 points, Romeo followed up a record 48-point game in Batangas with 27 markers here while Cruz sizzled with a triple-double effort with 20 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists.
Yap, Tubid, Fajardo and Slaughter contributed double-digit outputs for the Visayans who dealt the national training pool a second defeat in the three-leg PBA midseason classic.
The Nationals suffered a humbling 130-144 loss to PBA Mindanao in Davao del Sur on Wednesday before bouncing back with a 152-149 decision over PBA Luzon in Batangas on Friday.
