It’s official: Alaska is on a winning streak.
After five months of losing, the Aces have now managed to string up three straight victories with a 102-94 defeat of the Kia Picanto in the 2017 Oppo PBA Governors’ Cup Sunday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Calvin Abueva topscored with 26 points and 15 boards. Aces import LaDontae Henton came three assists shy of a triple double, finishing with 20 points, 13 rebounds and seven dimes. Jvee Casio, meanwhile, also had 20 markers, including four three-pointers.
Johnson paced the Picanto with 39 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, but he also turned the ball over eight times.
The Aces now hold a 3-6 card, while Kia remained winless at 0-9.
