Sareyyet Ramallah of Palestine man-handled the much younger Chooks-to-go Pilipinas, 89-82 on the second day of the 2017 FIBA Asia Champions Cup Group A match in Chenzhou, China.
The Philippine squad struggled from the three-point area, allowing the Palestinians to take control of the game from the opening tip.
Kiefer Ravena continued to showcase his scoring wizardry as he led all scorers with 24 points and went 8-of-15 from the field, while import Isaiah Austin tallied 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
The biggest revelation, however, is former Green Archer Jeron Teng who redeemed himself from a bad night against Kazakhstan. Teng scored 18 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.
American reinforcements Anthony Weeden and Todd O’Brien led Palestine’s offensive surge as they contributed 24 and 20 points respectively.
