NLEX bruiser JR Quinahan was called for a Flagrant Foul Penalty 2 on a driving Magnolia guard Jio Jalalon at the 7:27 mark of the 2nd quarter and the Road Warriors up by 1, 35-34.

Jalalon went strong to the hoop against Quinahan and Alex Mallari and was able to release the shot but was hacked hard on the face by the wide-bodied big man from Cebu.

The Gilas point guard suffered a bloodied mouth and swollen left eye.

After the game officials reviewed the incident, Quinahan was assessed an FFP2 and was subsequently ejected from the game.

Quinahan later on said that he had no intention to hurt Jalalon and was even surprised at the decision of the officials since it wasn’t a closed fist.
