San Miguel easily dispatched the Phoenix Fuel Masters in their 2017 PBA Oppo Commissioner’s Cup quarterfinals battle, winning 115-96 inside the Smart Araneta Coliseum Tuesday.
Alex Cabagnot was spectacular all game long, tallying 20 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the three-point area. He also had eight rebounds and six assists in the contest.
Marcio Lassiter topscored for San Miguel, tallying 26 points, four rebounds and three assists. Ross, the reigning PBA Player of the Week had another all-around performane with 17 points, seven rebounds, 10 assists and three steals.
Phoenix was led by import Jameel McKay’s 20 points, 13 rebounds and three assists. RJ Jazul chipped in 14 points, as he concluded his first conference with Phoenix.
Phoenix’s playoff run ends in the quarterfinals once again, while San Miguel awaits the winner of the Rain or Shine-Star series to find out who their opponent will be in the semifinals.
