The San Miguel Beermen overcame the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters’ third quarter surge, 103-96, to bounce back from their two-game slide in the 2017 Oppo PBA Governors’ Cup on Wednesday night at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
“Finally we were able to get a win. We really needed this game because we are in a slump,” SMB head coach Leo Austria said. “We’re not playing our usual game that we displayed before. Na-relieve yung team namin dahil we cannot afford three straight losses. It’s very crucial for us.”
Chris Ross led all scorers as he finished with 27 points including five three-pointers, three rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Marcio Lassiter also performed well with his 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field and three assists.
Bullock paced Rain or Shine with 22 points, 13 rebounds, and seven assists, while Maverick Ahanmisi added 12 points.
