San Miguel’s potent mix of inside-outside scoring threats was in full display late in Game 3 on Wednesday.

Chris Ross scored 24 points and dished out 8 assists, and San Miguel kept Barangay Ginebra scoreless in the last 4 minutes to win 99-88 and take a 2-1 lead in the PBA Philippine Cup finals at Araneta Coliseum.

Joe Devance’s basket put Ginebra in front 88-87, but San Miguel tightened the defensive screws the rest of the way in a decisive 12-0 finale.

Ginebra led by as many as 12, 41-29, early in the 2nd quarter, before San Miguel patiently chipped away at the deficit and tied the game finally at 58-all midway through the 3rd.
