The Star Hotshots’ newest member Malcolm Hill turned out to be the difference-maker on Friday night as he and his team came away with a 101-92 victory over the Alaska Aces in the 2017 Oppo PBA Governors’ Cup at the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo.
Hill, who replaced Cinmeon Bowers after Star’s first game, ended up with 28 points and 11 rebounds. Hill was particularly clutch in the last two minutes of the game when he delivered back-to-back baskets for the Hotshots.
His last shot made it 99-91 in favor of the Hotshots with 1:11 left in the game. Hill ended up with 12 points in the fourth quarter alone.
LaDontae Henton put up 34 points in the losing effort while Chris Banchero, who was visibly aggressive throughout the contest, managed to get 21 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.
