Without their star big man in the lineup, the Beermen fell to sister team Star Hotshots, 104-98, in the 2017 Oppo PBA Governors’ Cup Friday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Fajardo sat the game out due to an injury he suffered in the Beermen’s previous win over TNT.

Star remained unblemished with a 3-0 win-loss card, while Grand Slam-seeking San Miguel suffered its first setback of the conference.

Malcom Hill led the Hotshots with 20 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Ian Sangalang had a double-double of 18 points and 11 boards, while Rafi Reavis added 13 off the bench.

McKines notched a double-double with 27 points and 22 boards for San Miguel, while Lassiter scored 24 markers.
