For three and a half quarters, the Alaska Aces looked like they were finally poised their losing skid that has stretched for way too long. With TNT Katropa’s import fouling out midway through the fourth, things looked ever brighter for the Aces.
And then Roger Pogoy, Ranidel De Ocampo, and Jaysto Castro took it all away from them as TNT scored a 107-106 comeback win, Friday night at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum, giving the Aces their fourth straight loss of the 2017 PBA Governors’ Cup, their 12th straight dating back to last conference.
“We knew all along that Alaska is becoming a more dangerous team,” said TNT head coach Nash Racela. “They’ve been really playing well. The effort is there.”
Pogoy finished with 25 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the three-point range.
