Joe Devance normally doesn’t issue any guarantee in a playoffs or Finals series.
But as Barangay Ginebra faces a win-or-go-home situation Sunday night, the 6-foot-7 Devance assured everyone that the Kings won’t just roll and die.
Ginebra fell, 1-3 in the championship series after allowing San Miguel to get off to a 20-2 start Friday night, leading to the Beermen’s 94-85 win in Game 4 before over 17,000 fans at the Big Dome.
“We’re not going to quit. I guarantee you that,” declared Devance.
Devance said he’s well aware of the huge series deficit the Kings are now facing, but then again, he believes they are capable of getting the job done.
“We got a tall hill to climb and see if we could climb it. I got full confidence on this team that we can do it.” – FOX Sports Asia
