Calvin Abueva took to his Instagram account to shed more light on what transpired between him and Maika Rivera, the girlfriend of Blackwater rookie Ray Parks with whom he had an unpleasant verbal exchange after he fouled game during the closing seconds of the game.
With his wife Solome by his side, the 31-year old native of Angeles City, Pampanga started a live video to explain his side of the story.
I don’t know. Sirain niya ko sa laro?” he continued.
“The Beast” bared that Rivera and her companions have been heckling him all game long, and it eventually reached the point wherein he couldn’t take all the bashing anymore.
Abueva then shifted his focus to Brgy. Ginebra guard Sol Mercado who replied to a tweet by Parks regarding the incident.
That’s unfortunate bro… it’s sad to say I’m not surprised either, u have every right to be upset 🤦🏽♂️ let @riveramaika97 know to not let him ruin her night. Focus y’all energy on better things. He’s not even worth it! Big hugs 🤗 to the lady

What got Abueva’s ire was Mercado’s reference to him telling Parks that “he’s not even worth it”.
“Yung sinasabi ni Sol, ganito na ko. Na-appreciate ko yun dahil I don’t know. Don’t judge me! Stop na lang. Don’t talk,” said the league’s Rookie of the Year awardee in 2013.
Abueva then closed it by apologizing to Parks.
“Para kay Ray Parks. Sa iyo lang ako mag-sosorry. I don’t know your girlfriend pero hindi ako nag-apologize dahil hindi ako nagumpisa siya. I apologize Rayray Parks.”
