The Alaska Aces have enlisted the services of 6-foot-10 journeyman Chris Daniels as its import for the upcoming Commissioner’s Cup which kicks off on the third week of May.
Daniels, who is a product of Texas A & M – Corpus Christi, went undrafted in the 2008 NBA Rookie Draft.
He arrived in the country last week and is already practicing with the Aces.
The 35-year old native of San Antonio, Texas played in the NBA G-League for the Erie Bayhawks in 2011, Santa Cruz Warriors in 2012 and lastly for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in 2013 where he was part of the championhip team.
He also played in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) and won titles with Jeonju KCC Egis and Anyang KGC.
Aside from Korea, Daniels likewise had stops in Puerto Rico, China, Jordan, and Lebanon. He posted averages of 12.3 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.0 blocks for Al-Riyadi in the Lebanese Basketball League.
The Aces are coming off a disappointing 8th place finish in the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup and are hoping for a better performance in the second conference with Daniels in tow.
