For the 4th straight Finals game, TNT reinforcement and 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Best Import Terrence Jones has been involved in an altercation with a San Miguel player.
The latest incident happened against Arwind Santos during the halfway mark of the final frame of Game 4 which the Beermen won to level the series at 2 games apiece.
The SMB team captain committed a hard foul on a driving Jones who retaliated by letting out a howl right on the face of Santos.
“Nagsigawan lang. Pinaamoy lang nya yung hininga nya. Amoy Amerikano. Amoy burger. Sanay na ako. Ganun lang talaga kapag nagkakainitan na,” said Santos when asked about the incident after the game.
The 38-year old native of Angeles City added that it was just posturing and remains part of the game.
“Gulatan lang naman kung sino masisindak. Part lang ng game yun. Kaya lang, mas malakas siya bumuga sa akin, in fairness.”
Santos even admitted that he was trying to get into the nerve of the former NBA player who surprisingly was unwilling to engage this time around.
“Umiiwas din siya sa taunting at tinginan sa mata. Ayaw din niya. Marunong din. Pag may mga ganung scenario, sinasamantala namin. Tignan namin kung sino mapipikon,” explained the 2013 PBA MVP.
